Wong Ling Yi

Hello! I'm Ling Yi, a Year 2 design student, majoring in visual communication at Republic Polytechnic. A little about me, I would describe myself as someone who has an open mind to experience new things and meet new people, understanding and helping them.

I enjoy exploring brand identities, media design, and how design can communicate ideas clearly and help people in need. I engage in fashion design and painting during my free time as it helps me to explore different styles, relief stress, and build a better mindset through it. To me, design is not just shapes and patterns, it's something deeper that brings connection, expressions of unspoken thoughts and emotions, as well as how people perceive the world.

Through my school journey, I've learned to see the world with a more open mind and use design in different ways. I've done research with it, helped the needy, and come up with brands that wouldn't even cross my mind before. These made me more confident as a person and helped me understand myself, and the people around me more.
